Adipocytes Promote Breast Cancer Cell Survival and Migration through Autophagy Activation

چکیده
White adipose tissue interacts closely with breast cancers through the secretion of soluble factors such as cytokines, growth or fatty acids. However, molecular mechanisms these interactions and their roles in cancer progression remain poorly understood. In this study, we investigated role acids cooperation between adipocytes cells using a co-culture model. We report that increase autophagy acidification lysosomes, leading to cell survival nutrient-deprived conditions migration. Mechanistically, disturbance membrane phospholipid composition decrease arachidonic acid content is responsible for activation induced by adipocytes. Therefore, might be central cellular mechanism white thus participate progression.

Cancer-associated Fibroblasts Promote Irradiated Cancer Cell Recovery Through Autophagy
Tumor relapse after radiotherapy is a significant challenge to oncologists, even after recent the advances in technologies. Here, we showed that cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), a major component of cancer stromal cells, promoted irradiated cancer cell recovery and tumor relapse after radiotherapy. We provided evidence that CAFs-produced IGF1/2, CXCL12 and β-hydroxybutyrate were capable of...

متن کاملHematopoietic Stem Cell-derived Adipocytes Promote Tumor Growth and Cancer Cell Migration
Adipocytes, apart from their critical role as the energy storage depots, contribute to the composition of the tumor microenvironment. Our previous studies based on a single hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplantation model, have revealed a novel source of adipocytes from HSCs via monocyte/macrophage progenitors. Herein, we extend these studies to examine the role of HSC-derived adipocytes (HS...
متن کاملPTPRN2 and PLCβ1 promote metastatic breast cancer cell migration through PI(4,5)P2‐dependent actin remodeling
Altered abundance of phosphatidyl inositides (PIs) is a feature of cancer. Various PIs mark the identity of diverse membranes in normal and malignant cells. Phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PI(4,5)P2) resides predominantly in the plasma membrane, where it regulates cellular processes by recruiting, activating, or inhibiting proteins at the plasma membrane. We find that PTPRN2 and PLCβ1 en...
